I
have been working in CGI and visualeffects all of my adult life.
Since 1996 I have been teaching it more or less full time.
At some point Id like to get back to fulltime production, and Im willing to immigrate for the right job.
In
my spare time, I like to play golf, handball and computergames. And I
like to enjoy a pint of preferably english ale with my friends.
Education:
1986-1989 Mulernes Legatskole Gymnasie, Mathematics and Physics
Since 1991 I have been
studying at the university when I could find the time, not so much to
finish a degree as to simply learn more.
Today Im ~1/2 through a degree in Datatechnology/Computerscience.
Several CGI/animation courses and masterclasses.
Jobs:
1987
I founded a company with a friend of mine, this is where I did most
of my productions.
1990 I did my service in the 'Danish Civil Protection' firefighting unit.
Today
several years later, the department has more than 30 fulltime
employees and more than 300 students.
I also took part in
describing the 3d/cgi/animation content for two new educations in
Denmark.
It
has been a truly great experience to be part of building something
like this from the ground up. The next step is the creation a
dedicated CGI/Visualeffects department, with a little luck it will be
on track in end of 2000 or early 2001.
Since 1996 I have been using most of my time teaching, and the focus of the company was moving away from production, so as of January 1st 2000, my friend took over the company entirely. And I founded my own freelance buisness.
Apart
from teaching and organizing anything related to CGI and visualeffect
at the college, I have also been administering our now IRIX network,
until it was phased out.
I did the visual effects for the 1998/1999 #1 danish award winning short movie 'Iltmangel' directed by Christian Fonnesbech
I
did a lot of the CGI for a live dance/cgi projection performance
called
White
on White
that was part of 'Dansedage'
in Aarhus in 1999.
And in relation to the same project ( Digital Theatre - an experimentarium), I also taught and acted as a consultant for some of the people doing cgi for the performances.
Since
1999 I have been doing the Maya (and Shake until the Apple incident)
support for the Scandinavian reseller Kinovox,
currently I handle calls from Denmark and Norway, and I also do
on-site training etc.
In
2004 I took a 6 month sabattical and worked for at Ghost in
Copenhagen. There I worked as TD on a wide variety of tasks, ranging
from texturing, and rigging to programming and dynamics simulations.
Also
in 2004 and 2005 I was part of a project at LEGO redoing their
pipeline for building instructions, and digital/virtual models. This
included writing hundres of scripts totalling several thousand lines
of code.
Today I teach both at the 'Centre of Visual
Communication', and at 'MMD bachelor of multimedia.'
In the last few years I have been teaching regularely at both the MultimediaSciences education at University of Southern Denmark and The AnimationWorkshop in Viborg.
-Apart from this I have had several freelance jobs in both teaching and production.(see my reference list)
Well... Id love to work on a large project like a film or a game.Nationality: Danish
